Installation Guide

Standard Installation

  1. Click "Download for Windows" button above
  2. Run the installer executable file (SlipStudios-Setup.exe)
  3. Click "Install" and wait for Windows to verify
  4. Follow the setup wizard prompts
  5. Accept the license terms and choose installation folder
  6. Click "Install" and wait for completion

After Installation

  1. Launch the app from Start Menu or Desktop shortcut
  2. Log in with your Slip Studios account
  3. Grant necessary permissions when prompted
  4. Configure your download and graphics preferences
  5. Browse and start managing your game library
  6. Enable cloud sync for automatic backups (optional)

Troubleshooting & Support

Installation fails with "Administrator required"
Right-click the installer and select "Run as administrator". Ensure your Windows account has admin privileges and UAC is properly configured.
App won't launch after installation
Restart your computer first. If still not working, reinstall .NET Runtime 6.0+. Check that antivirus isn't blocking the app, or temporarily disable it during launch.
Login fails with "Network error"
Check your internet connection. Disable VPN temporarily. Add the app to your firewall whitelist. Try clearing the app cache from settings.
Downloads are slow or pause frequently
Check your internet speed. Close other bandwidth-heavy apps. Move installation to a faster drive (SSD preferred). Reduce concurrent downloads in settings.
App crashes on startup
Update your graphics drivers to the latest version. Run the app in Compatibility Mode for Windows 10. Reinstall if crashes persist.
How do I uninstall the app?
Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Find "Slip Studios" > Click Uninstall. Alternatively, use the uninstaller in the Start Menu.
Cloud sync isn't working
Verify sync is enabled in Settings. Check your storage space. Log out and back in. Check your internet connection and firewall settings.
How do I update to the latest version?
Updates are automatic by default. Go to Settings > About to check your version. You can also manually download and reinstall the latest version from this page.
